    Catherine C. Goodman, PT, MBA, is a faculty affiliate at the University of Montana and is the coauthor of two textbooks: Differential Diagnosis for Physical Therapists: Screening for Referral (2007), 4th edition and Pathology: Special Implications for the Physical Therapist, 3rd ed. (2009). She has published several other articles on a variety of topics including the role of exercise on the immune system, the importance of vital signs, recognizing red flag signs and symptoms of systemic disease, and the role of the therapist in breast cancer screening. This is her first publication for the JHT.

    Mark D. Weber, PhD, PT, SCS, ATC, is a professor in the department of physical therapy at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a board certified sports physical therapist and a certified athletic trainer whose clinical interest is in sports-related extremity musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The majority of Dr Weber's publications have been on topics related to sports physical therapy and physical therapy education.

    Michelle H. Cameron, MD, PT, OCS, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and she is a longtime Editorial Board Member of the JHT. Dr Cameron's areas of research and expertise are in multiple sclerosis, balance and falls, and physical agent modalities. Here, Dr Cameron shares concepts related to screening for nervous system disorders.

    Emmanuel Y. Yung, PT, DPT, MA, OCS, FAAOMPT, combines his clinical and faculty roles at Kaiser Permanente (West Los Angeles) Medical Center and the Azusa Pacific University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program where his focus is on the cervical spine and the shoulder. This is Dr Yung's first publication in the JHT.

    Eric E. Wegener, MD, is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He is affiliated with The University of Mississippi Medical Center as an assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr Wegener is in private practice of plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as hand surgery in Jackson, Mississippi.

    Angela J. Koestler, PhD, is a fellow and Past President of the Mississippi Psychological Association and is a Past President and founding board member of the Mississippi Pain Society. She has numerous presentations and publications, including a coauthored book chapter, The Psychology of Pain, and book, Understanding Chronic Pain. Dr Koestler is owner of the Nordal Clinic with offices in Vicksburg and Jackson, Mississippi.

    Mary Thompson, PT, PhD, GCS, is a professor and post-professional coordinator at Texas Woman's University, School of Physical Therapy. She enjoys helping therapists further develop their careers to assume roles as experts, administrators, or faculty. Her clinical practice is with older adults in wellness environments and home health.

    Daniel M. Riche, PharmD, BCPS, CDE, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Medicine at the University of Mississippi who teamed with senior author, John Cleary, PharmD, BCPS, FCCP in this excellent review. Dr Riche integrated his areas of pharmacy practice with due consideration of hand therapists and how practice. This is his first publication in the JHT.
